Biography After Material World, he landed the co-starring role of Peter Caine in the syndicated TV series, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. The series gave him an opportunity to display his athletic prowess on screen, doing his own stunts and martial arts, and off screen at various celebrity hockey charity events. In addition, he guest starred in the Western series Lonesome Dove. Potter also supplied the voice of Gambit on the popular animated series X-Men during this period. When the series ended, Potter accepted the lead in the revamped USA Network series Silk Stalkings. Subsequently, he shot a number of films including the soon-to-be-released Rockets Red Glare and The Shrink is In, appeared in the US prime-time series Will & Grace and now has a re-occurring role in the Showtime version of Britain's hit series, Queer as Folks. Born in Toronto and raised in London, Ontario, Canada, Potter's parents instilled a love for the arts and sports in him at an early age. His mother involved him as a child in community theatre while his father, a former pro-football player, encouraged Potter's passion for baseball, football and hockey. Before turning to acting, Potter began his entertainment career as a musician and singer and recently released his first CD, entitled "Chris Potter", for MAG Records. Filmography
